Central Rivers Initiative Review
A ten year review of the Central Rivers Initiative on behalf of the project partners; Staffordshire County Council, East Staffordshire Borough Council, Lichfield District Council, Tamworth Borough Council, Hanson Aggregates, Lafarge, Aggregate Industries, The National Memorial Arboretum, The National Forest Company, Environment Agency, Natural England, Sport England, RSPB, Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, British Waterways, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, Advantage West Midlands and Burton on Trent.
The project aims to secure a multifunctional end use for sand and gravel extraction sites in the sub region, and to integrate the sites into landscape scale management of the river valleys.
